I currently have slots open for bass guitar tuition. All my tuition is on a 1-to-1 basis – you will be the sole focus of the lesson with no other students, and the learning will be tailored to your own individual needs and goals.
I offer the following types of tuition:
- In my home
- In your home
- Internet Conferencing (webcam, microphone, Skype)
I can supply equipment such as amplifiers and bass guitars for the top two above, but for the Internet Conferencing, you will need your own equipment.
My tuition methods are approved by the Registry of Guitar Tutors, and comprise the following:
- How to set up your equipment (amplifiers, bass controls, strap, strings, tuner and more)
- A look at your playing
- Improving technique
- Lessons on finger picking, plectrum playing and slap bass
- Basic theory of music (scales and more)
- Basic Sight Reading
- Learning basslines to individual songs at your request
- Learning the style of your favourite bass player
- Tuition on writing original bass lines for your band
I offer tuition to everyone from the absolute beginner right through to those coming back after a few years away from playing. If you’re an experienced musician who would like a lesson to help with new direction or to adjust your technique, I can help with this too.
A discount is available for block booking lessons and paying in advance.
I also offer gift vouchers if you want to buy a loved one the gift of bass tuition (5, 10 or 20 lessons available)
