I’m a 24 year old bass guitar player, based in Northern Ireland with a résumé of work all over the UK.
I’ve been playing since April 2002 and specialise in live work, session work, recording and theatre.
I play to a Grade 8 level, with extensive experience of fingerstyle, plectrum, slap bass and tapping.
I have experience of playing and teaching in many styles, including Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul, Funk, Country, Folk and Trad.
I have a professional, mature insight into the live music world, having played hundreds of live shows.
I favour a tight, solid groove as opposed to flashy, technical wizardry.
I am available for deputising at short notice for one or more gigs in any of the above styles comfortably.
I have studied the Theory of Music and am proficient at sight-reading, composition and improvisation.
I am a proficient backing vocalist in the Baritone and Tenor ranges.
I’m a moderator on Basschat, the UK’s largest bass guitar web forum, with over 11,000 members. As well as moderating, I also write reviews of products from affiliated manufacturers.
